WWAED AGM scheduled for Saturday 16th February 2008
29th November 2007
The WWAED AGM took place as scheduled. The attendance was good a number of key items were discussed and agreed.
Among the items that were agreed were:
  • Definition of a New Joining Process for the WWAED.
The WWAED is continually striving to ensure that its members are assessed and monitored on all aspects of their work. Given that the WWAED is the only equine dentistry organisation that tests all of its members for Level 1 capability (basic assessment and rasping of teeth - the most common procedure in equine dentistry in the UK) this needed to remain as an integral part of the joining process. The new process will be available in detail on this website shortly. Although it was felt that dentists wishing to join the association might find this process more involved than with other associations, they will be demonstrating to the horse owning public that they are keen to ensure that dentistry standards are continually improved.
  • Election of WWAED Representatives
Two positions were in front of the members for election, President and Vice President. Nat Heal was elected into the Vice President position and Steve Goode was elected into the Presidents position.
